Hotel Wasserfall, Summercard, lies in Hohe Tauern National Park at Fusch’s foot of the Großglockner, 10 km south of Zell am See. It offers rooms, a spa with sauna and steam bath, and a bar. The restaurant serves regional and game dishes from farms. Ski buses reach Zell am See and Kaprun; a pool is minutes away, and trails lead to waterfalls and glaciers.

The staff were friendly and met our requests, the facilities were modern and spotless, and breakfast was great. The location is convenient for reaching the national park, and the summer card we received gave us free access to the toll road into the park. The noise from the restaurant/bar below our room was occasionally annoying.

The location for the Grosslöckner is superb. The dinner menu is simple but tasty.

The welcome and location on the Grossglockner road. The short hike to see the waterfall. The typical restaurant. Nothing negative.

The view, the dinner quality and the included Summercard were great, but the stuffed animals in the dining room were a bit too much for me, even though I understand it's a tradition.
