“This hotel looks great on the surface but overpriced for the outdated room.”
The setting was nice, with a large driveway that goes through the golf course. The room was big and spacious, with a large bed that was reasonably comfortable. The bathroom was lovely and spacious, with good lighting, a nice shower and a large bath. The entrance was a nightmare: a circular door that wasn’t automatic, so you had to push it around with luggage, which was a hassle. The reception area felt awkward, a mix of reception, bar and restaurant that didn’t quite fit together—like faulty towers! The pillows were flat and uncomfortable, the carpet was stained in several spots, and there was a small table with a coffee machine that had stains and marks. The room looked like it needed a good cleaning or a full refurb. At £200 per night I was disappointed. I was unwell during our two‑night stay, so I didn’t get to see the pool or spa, but I didn’t have high expectations anyway.
