Arundel Mansions Hotel

The hotel itself is very quaint with fun decor and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The building is literally right next to the elevated tracks for the light rail. The trains run approx. every 2 minutes all day and most of the night. It was impossible to sleep with this continuous noise. Bring ear plugs if you choose this hotel

The Sky Train is just outside the window, and there were homeless people near the parking area doing drugs.

The building is a beautiful old structure from 1913, full of original furnishings and charming details—definitely coming back!

“Cool spot, too noisy with skytrain.”

It’s a really cool old hotel, but the Skytrain is right next to it; I should have been warned about trains running every 5 minutes until 2 am and again at 6 am, and ear plugs would have helped as I’ve had at other noisy hotels.

“Warm and cozy with a side of locomotion”

The building and room were amazing, living up to its claim as Vancouver’s oldest hotel; every piece of furniture was clean and well maintained. The only downside was the New Westminster train station right next door, with trains arriving every 10 minutes until 1 am – fine for locals, but a bit disruptive for someone from another time zone who likes staying awake until 4 am.
