Lovely lady on reception when we arrived. Very helpful. Rooms very tidy, just a little dated. Decor was a bit dated

The staff at the front counter were polite and helpful. One member of our party locked herself out of her room at 10pm at night. Without her phone, warm clothes, medication. There is no appropriate after hours contact at the reception area. The intercom isn’t manned and no one personally responds. After continued pushing of the button, it intermittently advises to leave a message. Luckily, she could knock on our door for help. Only after ringing the daytime number (as a last resort) were we given a message advising the after hours mobile. 20 minutes and 5 messages later (she’d now been locked out for 45 minutes) someone rang back and was rude and unapologetic and impatient and said they would be there shortly to admit her to her room. It was lucky we were staying also as this woman would have been completely alone. There should be an onsite facility to contact after hours. All after 10 pm at night in freezing cold, locked out!!
