“Unreliable reservation and unresponsive hotel clerk”

It seemed like a nice hotel at first, but we were handed a room that was already occupied and then told that nobody should have been there; afterward they claimed there was no room left for us, which was bizarre. The clerk on duty did nothing to find out who was in the room, didn’t call a manager for guidance, and simply sent us away late at night to look for another place even though we had a reservation.

A very nice hotel in a small town was a bonus, but my husband and I, being older, found the tub shower floor slippery; we would have preferred a walk‑in shower, and if that’s not available, a non‑slip surface on the tub floor is essential.

The pool was good, but the price was really high and the bathroom was disgusting.
