Lovely Caravan At Southview Holiday Park

Everything was good, but the place was beautiful.

“Lovely lakeside location, but several issues need attention”

The caravan sits right beside the lake, a perfect spot for fishing, and the photos were mostly accurate; parking was easy and plenty of space. However, the single beds turned out much narrower than in the pictures, making it hard for an adult to sleep comfortably, and the duvets were far too large for the beds. When we pushed the beds together, we found wrappers and rubbish underneath and beside them, and the cupboards and bedside units needed wiping before use, indicating a superficial cleaning. The bath lacked a shower attachment, and the shower in the other bathroom couldn't be adjusted because the water stayed extremely hot, so we couldn't use it. The large bush next to the entrance steps should be trimmed, as it made access awkward. We knew there was no Wi‑Fi, but mobile data didn't work in the area either.

Lake view was lovely albeit at the end of the park entrance so a lot of traffic for holiday people going in and out parking was good next to caravan however people seemed to park wherever they could get a spare regardless of which caravan they were accommodating. No internet we were told they had a dvd player but not one in caravan limited tv channels garden furniture was chained to decking so could not turn chairs to face the sun only 2 cushions for garden furniture so uncomfortable when sitting out bed was uncomfortable no space in bathroom

The location was amazing, with a great view and plenty of activities for the kids on site. The cost was £22 each for a 6‑day pass. The caravan just needed a better clean; someone’s toothbrush, headphones, and bits of debris were left on the sides and on the floor. Despite that, I would definitely stay again because it was very spacious and the location was great.
