The bed was comfortable and the house was pleasant, but the pool was not heated, there was a bad smell in the room (no VMC, possible cat urine or plumbing issues), we were not told that the spa and jacuzzi were unavailable unless requested explicitly, the trash was not emptied, the fridge was unplugged, the coffee maker didn’t work, and the front door was locked at night while the owners were unreachable.

The location, the beauty of the house and the outdoors, and the pool were great, yet there was no reception, we were left in the house, fortunately we had read reviews that let us shop beforehand because there was no breakfast or dinner service, and the owner was not available.

The beds were good, but the place where we slept turned out not to be the one we booked or the one shown in the photos, but a few houses over. The house with the pool had already been rented to a group who claimed they had it privately, so we couldn’t use the pool, which was the main reason we booked this accommodation so the kids could swim during our long trip.

It was an absolute disaster. Nothing! We advise against booking! We warn about shady rental practices! Four of us, currently riding the Mosel–Sáone bike trail, had the hotel firmly booked (no cancellation option). Because the owner could rent the whole house to a TV company (about 10 people) on short notice, she sent us a cancellation at 13h! After an 80 km day tour we had to find another hotel about 10 km further. The landlord offered us a “fallback” house 50 m away, in a dilapidated state, partially blocked by the building authority, which was completely unacceptable. Poor reviews of this location, which were still visible a day before, suddenly disappeared, probably because the owner renamed the hotel. Bottom line: don’t book here, it’s also far away.
