The two owners were very warm and made us feel very welcome. The location and the view of the canal were especially nice. Breakfast was especially heartily arranged— we especially liked the selection of rolls and fruit.

The spot is right in the middle of town, and the room even opens onto the canal. Breakfast was top‑notch from every angle, and there’s a private motorcycle parking spot—though it costs a bit. The room itself is big and airy. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, which made the stay even better.

From the moment we walked in, this tiny, owner‑run place stole our hearts. “Contrast” really lives up to its name: classic Bruges stonework meets sleek, modern touches throughout the lobby, rooms, garden, and breakfast area. We loved the view of the charming courtyard and canal. It’s tucked a little away from the bustle yet still central—just a 100‑meter walk to a cozy bar and a small beer garden, plus several restaurants nearby.

The whole place feels like a breath of fresh air from the moment you arrive. Every corner is thoughtfully decorated, giving off a relaxed, vacation vibe that makes you feel instantly at home.
