“I had two choices when booking and I picked the wrong one. Hated this place.”
Finding the hotel was easy and the front office’s early closure was noted in the description with photos. I was overbooked for room 15, and the front desk texted me saying I was overbooked, which I didn’t understand. They blamed me, so I wasn’t impressed with the service. They upgraded me to a King at no extra cost, which felt like a favor after I’d booked almost a month ahead. The lights didn’t work in two parts of the room, even though they knew about it beforehand – only two small table lamps worked (one by the TV, one on the opposite side of the king bed). The overhead lights (2) were dead, the smoke detector light was off, and the power strip was overloaded with a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, and a table lamp. I couldn’t use either remote for the TV, and there was no station list. The front desk said the room was recently renovated, but the bathroom was poorly finished and the ceiling in the room was peeling. New furniture was there but the workmanship was poor and the electrical problems made it feel anything but newly renovated. I didn’t get a discount, an extension cord, or a TV station list when I texted at check‑in.
