I had been debating where to stay before arriving at Seogiri, and this was the place I chose. We’re the first Korean guests here, and there were no Korean reviews to guide us. The walk to the lodge took about 25 minutes, enjoying the scenery, and the sunset view was pleasant. The next morning we took a paid tuk‑tuk to the nearby peak. The new building was clean, the bathroom had hot water, and the AC worked well. In the courtyard, the sound of swaying coconut trees and the quiet were enjoyable. A short five‑minute walk brought us to several restaurants and a couple of supermarkets. The host’s house was a bit farther away, which was better. I communicated any questions via phone or WhatsApp without trouble. The bus from Dambulla drops off at the Seogiri entrance; we had heavy backpacks, so we took a tuk‑tuk. Breakfast was delicious, plentiful, served on time, and the host couple were kind and friendly. I recommend it. Nothing seemed lacking.
