The place was clean.
“タバコ臭い。”
I was really looking forward to a smoke-free room, but when I checked in, the front desk told me that I had actually booked a smoking room. I asked them to change it, but they just ignored me. I ended up having to stay in a room with a strong smell of smoke. To make matters worse, the front desk staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, and when I showed them the printout of my booking confirmation, they just brushed it off.

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made my stay much more enjoyable. The breakfast buffet was also a pleasant surprise, and they were happy to adjust the check-in and breakfast times to suit my needs. However, I did notice that the hotel had a bit of a stench problem - the lobby and breakfast area had a strange smell that was a bit off-putting.
