The shuttle was right across the street, the hotel owner was warm and spoke Chinese, but the bath only offered a shower, no soaking tub, the photos on the website showed the pool open, and the breakfast wasn’t very tasty.

The host was friendly and helpful, yet the breakfast was mediocre and not traditionally Japanese.

I met Masa and his family, who were the best hosts I’ve ever had; they made every request easy and were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our trip. Nothing was wrong at all – I enjoyed every single moment.

The spot is great, and the staff were very helpful; you can walk right up to the base of Nagari Slope, the restaurants, and the onsen. If you want a private shower, be sure to ask for that room specifically.
