I enjoyed a fantastic stay at Ranjiths and Harshinis place. The room was huge, the view lovely. The welcome in their living room and the breakfast were truly welcoming and tasty. Thanks and take care. 🙏

The hosts gave a superb welcome. Breakfast was included in the rate, very generous and delicious. Note that the Sri Lankan breakfast costs $5 more per person. They provided excellent activity advice. We didn't see the local dances at $15 that they offered because we stayed only one day. The room was fully equipped with a nice view.

The place is perfect. Spotlessly clean, every detail cared for, with Wi‑Fi and amazing views. The room is very spacious and it’s practically in the city centre but in a quiet area. The family is the most wonderful I’ve ever met during my stay in Sri Lanka. They truly care about your comfort, your security and you as a guest. They’re all very welcoming, making you feel at home from the very beginning, and always willing to help you with anything. I could not recommend this place more! I wish I had stayed longer. Oh, and the breakfast was sooooo good! :)

When we arrived, the owner’s wife greeted us and we stayed in the upstairs part of the family’s house, while downstairs she ran a kindergarten. The family – the mother and her two shy, polite children – were the most talkative people we met in Sri Lanka and made us feel welcome; they suggested nearby attractions, patiently taught me how to hail a taxi and even showed me the kindergarten before we left. Our room offered great conditions and a view; although it wasn’t right in the city centre, its height let us see Kandy Lake from the window, and breakfast was plentiful and served right on time. Arriving by car was easy – just turn into the side road and park in the courtyard – and walking to town wasn’t too far, though after dark it’s best to take a tuk‑tuk back. There were no negatives at all.

A well‑equipped, very clean homestay in a great location. The Temple of the Tooth and the city centre of Kandy are easily reachable on foot. Ranjith and Harshi are wonderful, incredibly warm and attentive hosts. Harshi is an excellent cook, and the breakfast was the best we had on our entire Sri Lanka trip. Because we felt so comfortable in the family atmosphere, we extended our stay in the Misty Hills Lakeview Lounge for two more nights. Ranjith also runs a small travel agency alongside the property. We organised our almost three‑week tour through him. He personally drove us to our destinations in the central highlands, the cultural triangle and the east coast, arranged activities and accompanied us as a guide. My 14‑year‑old son and I had a fantastic time with Ranjith. Through him we learned so much about the country, its culture and its people. A great and close friendship has blossomed. We will definitely return with the whole family. I wholeheartedly recommend both the accommodation and Ranjith’s personal, tailored travel service. Nothing was wrong; everything was superb.
