The accommodation was in the countryside, and in the cool morning I could walk pleasantly around the property. A nearby ruin let me enjoy the sunrise and the site. Renting a bicycle to see the rural scenery was also nice. The breakfast did not meet my expectations.
The courtyard is clean and the fridge is available; the staff are friendly. The air‑conditioning doesn’t work, and the place is far from anything else; the staff only speak Indonesian.
“Un séjour au milieu des rizières”
The location next to the village, right in the middle of the rice fields, is superb. Breakfast is delivered at our time, in the small dining room on the upper floor, right next to the room. Cold water, hot water, tea and coffee are available on the ground floor. The room assigned for our four‑night stay didn’t suit us, and because there was no one else at the guest house we were able to inspect all the rooms and settled on the large room 16 at the end of the gallery. There was no information, no details, no bicycles. Renting a scooter was troublesome, and due to a technical engine problem there was no replacement. It’s important to have a vehicle because the main site is a few kilometres away.
I’m near the Prambanan temple, which is convenient.
“Buono”
The staff were kind and very helpful. We arrived at 21.15, and even though it was late for dinner, they tried to prepare something for us. The room is very spacious and is just a 5‑minute drive from Prambanan, so the location is very convenient. Breakfast is good, with the usual Nasi goreng (fried rice), egg and salad, coffee or hot tea. You can refill bottles, there’s free water from the dispenser, and hot water for tea or coffee is available at any time. The cleaning leaves a little to be desired; the whole floor of the room is carpeted, there were ants in the bathroom and it wasn’t very clean (though not worse than other more expensive places I’ve stayed at recently). Since we only needed to sleep a few hours, it was more than fine, but I might not stay more than one night.
