Sunburst Motel

The spot is perfect—just a short 3‑minute drive to Harbour Town, close to the beach, restaurants, and shops. It’s a peaceful area, the staff were friendly, the room quality was high, and I really enjoyed my stay.

“Will not recommend this hotel to anyone.”

The bathroom had a sewer‑like odor, the sink drain was connected to a floor overflow grate with nasty stains, and there was a lot of noise from adjacent rooms. The photos on the site were photoshopped and didn’t reflect how run‑down and poorly maintained the room actually was.

“Staying there was terrible.”

The only bright spot was the location; otherwise nothing about the property appealed to me. The walk to Ass‑si was the sole redeeming feature. The overall experience was awful—if you use a CPAP, bring an extension cord because there are no outlets near the beds.

“Terrible”

The place was disappointing. The mattress springs pressed into my ribs and hips all night, there were no bedside tables for glasses, the front door didn’t seal properly, the bathroom door had a huge gap, and there were no spare toilet paper, tissues, blankets, or pillows. The bathroom basin was so basic you couldn’t place anything on it, the plastic chairs at the bench were flimsy, the shower head was ineffective, and bare cement patches were visible. I chose not to stay the second night and forfeited the payment; a complete refurbishment is needed.
