Location is solid, but this time the staff were thin on the ground and the room had no tea or coffee info. I remember my wedding reception there 39 years ago – that was top notch – but this visit felt underwhelming and a bit spooky.

The place is in an extraordinary spot, but the interior could use a touch of redesign and a better showcase of what’s already there. The terrace, which should be a highlight with its view, looks sad and needs a lot of work, though the potential is huge.
