Rim Khao Resort

The room was clean with basic comfort, the AC worked, and there was a fridge; the gym is a 20‑minute walk away, and the beach is 10 minutes away. We were not housed in a bungalow but in a building with a view of a nonexistent pool, the tap water was orange and then the water supply was cut off. The door of the room wouldn’t close from the outside, and there was no one at reception.

The exterior looked nice, but I planned to stay three nights and left after just one. My first bungalow had a broken toilet, so I was moved to another unit where the shower barely dripped, and when I went back there was still no solution, leaving me unable to shower. The next morning the bathroom fixtures in that unit—shower, toilet, and tap—still didn’t work, so I decided to leave; it simply didn’t meet my expectations. Moreover, the hotel couldn’t arrange a taxi back to the pier; you had to wait on the road for one.

My stay here was lovely, with everything feeling just right. The cozy bungalow and nice garden area made for a pleasant getaway, and the convenience of having a 7-Eleven right next door was a bonus.
