“No lift”
The property was clean and the location was close to the metro, but the lack of an elevator was annoying after walking 20,000 steps.
“It was good.”
The room was fantastic, huge, and I stayed in a 2‑bedroom suite with comfortable beds, a toilet, and a bath. It would have been nice to have complimentary drinking water in the room, though. My room was on the 4th floor and there was no lift; the stairs were quite narrow, making it hard to move luggage up and down. So keep that in mind—if you’re assigned to a lower floor it wouldn’t be a problem. Also, the hotel operates a self‑service check‑in; I didn’t see any staff during my stay, only communications through the system. The location is fine, about a 15‑20 minute walk away.
We loved the room – it was huge, and sleeping on futons over a tatami was fantastic, especially with the Japanese‑style bathroom. Having a tiny balcony that looked out onto a quiet Tokyo street felt like a little luxury. It was great that, despite lacking a front desk, we could drop off our bags before check‑in in a lockable room. The location wasn’t central, but a 15‑minute walk got us to Asakusa, which was wonderful. The only downside was having to lug our suitcases up two flights of stairs via a narrow stairwell, since there’s no elevator. Even so, it was our favorite of the three places we stayed at in Japan.
“No llegamos a quedarnos a dormir, mi familia no estaba a gusto.”
The area was pretty good, communication was solid and the neighborhood was calm, which is great for traveling with kids. However, the room was dirty: dust everywhere, office‑style chairs with a lot of stains, a table covered with a plastic mat that turned out to be a poker table, and the worst part was finding a cockroach in the bathroom.
The mattresses were unfortunately very thin, resulting in a very hard sleeping surface.
