“Only way to enjoy a few days in York is at a tavern”

Staying above the pub was a treat, with a pint on the way up to the room or heading into York proper. The pub staff were friendly and great conversationalists. Mornings were quiet, while evenings featured live music and football.

The biggest perk is the superb location: York’s main sights are just a few minutes’ walk away. The staff are friendly and helpful, doing their jobs excellently. The room and bathroom are the right size, well equipped and comfortable, and the downstairs bar never made any noise or music bleed into the room. Breakfast is especially tasty and plentiful. All in all, a cozy, comfortable place with excellent location that I’d confidently recommend in York. I didn’t experience any negatives.

“Pleasant and convenient.”

The room was nice, clean, and quiet at the top of the building even though a decent rock band was playing in the bar. It’s very convenient for the registry office and the city centre.

We really enjoyed our stay. Great. The rooms were excellent. The bar staff were amazing. Breakfast was excellent. I couldn’t fault anything and would definitely stay again. There was nothing I didn’t like about it.
