The breakfast was hearty, yet the hotel itself was old, the pool wasn’t heated, and the garden and patio area were poorly maintained.

The bedding was good and the pool pretty, and we slept quietly by the garden side, away from the traffic noise, but the hotel looked abandoned—bathrooms and common areas were in disrepair and needed a lot of work to be truly pleasant.
