“Sehr schöner Aufenthalt in einem wunderschönen Hotel”
Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit sehr freundlichen Mitarbeitern. Unser Strandbungalow war toll!. Etwas mehr abendliche Unterhaltung wäre ganz schön

The common areas were nice and well maintained, but the location was disappointing, the hot tub wasn’t operational, the AC unit made noise, and the bed in the loft was uncomfortable. At $800 a night, it definitely didn’t feel worth the money.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and they even let us use the pool while we waited for our room to be ready. The Mahana'i restaurant Polynesian show was good, but the food was terrible; it’s better just to watch it for free by the pool.

Stayed in overwater bungalow for our 40th wedding anniversary and it was a gorgeous place to stay. A number of things were issues for me. Firstly, we couldn’t book a table for the Polynesian show. We were told to return 30 minutes beforehand. Then the waitress said we weren’t first. We were. Had to tell her to check with the other waitress, who told her yes, we were. Embarrassing, as it looked like we were jumping the queue. Ridiculous system! Then the food was awful. I chose beef and veg. The beef was a chunk of fatty meat! Horrible. The rest of the meal was dreadful too. So the next night we went back to the Sofitel to eat, where we’d stayed the two nights prior. Then on the morning of our anniversary, we’d arranged breakfast via canoe. Filled out the menu the night before and specifically requested ‘hard eggs, not runny’. Of course, they arrived runny. That meant I had to get mine replaced, which meant my husband had his breakfast at 8.30am and I had mine at 9.15am. Not the romantic anniversary breakfast together that we’d planned. The manager refunded my half of the breakfast cost, and gave us a free drink. Then the manager who took over later in the day came to our door to apologise . So the staff did everything they could to make amends but still, it still spoilt our anniversary breakfast. How the chef didn’t understand ‘hard eggs not runny’ I have no idea. Now I think of it, my issues all revolved around the restaurant and their chef!
