The Avenue Hotel

“The smell in the room from the toilet spoilt it.”

The place was in a good spot, yet the breakfast cost a lot and the room smelled terrible. I told the manager that the TV remote was missing, but after the bar closed no one answered the phone or came to the desk.

“Worse night sleep ever!”

The towels were clean and had a cute swan shape. I slept terribly – the room was hot and stuffy even with a fan on all night, the mattress felt cheap, and the pillows were subpar. The toilet leaked at the back when flushing, forcing me to watch where I stepped; I even recorded a short video but couldn’t upload it. The shower worked, but the soap dispenser ran out just before I showered – I was lucky to have a small bottle. It was only a one‑night stay, so that helped.

Renovation was still underway, and the plastic bathroom was a joke.

“Perfect location, nice staff and fun”

The staff were wonderful, the room was clean and lovely, and the towels were a nice touch for me and my best friend.

The location was great, the people and staff were friendly and helpful, the value matched the price, and the place stayed clean.
