Hemingway's Luxury Tented Camp

“Un posto unico!”

We hiked to see the waterfalls up close, used the tents, the small pool, the shower, and enjoyed the view of the river. We also took a boat that turned into a river safari where we saw crocodiles, hippos, elephants, and buffaloes. Nothing else.

“Memorable, picturesque, tasty food, and amazing staff.”

Can’t beat the location. Isolated, tranquil and absolutely knowledgeable staff, particularly Milton. The food was fantastic as was the attention to detail from all staff. Had an amazing game drive experience that would probably rival some of the more well known national parks in East Africa. A bird watchers’ paradise - if that’s your thing. That said, you MUST do the hike to the waterfall (Uhuru falls on Murchison). The view you will get will be postcard-worthy and one you’ll remember for a lifetime. Pack insect repellent. In one of the tents, the shower water smelt really bad so my kids couldn’t shower in their tent. Other than that, all else was great

A fantastic place, reachable by boat (about 1 hour), isolated and quiet. The rooms are simple but very comfortable and clean, with hot showers and private toilets. It’s a great spot with river views and unforgettable sunsets. The food is excellent and the staff are adorable. It’s a 30‑minute walk to the falls. An exceptional place.

“Es gibt keine bessere Lage für Murchison Falls/Nil.”

It starts with a super beautiful boat tour with wildlife sightings. The lodge is in a gorgeous location right in the middle of the national park, with a magnificent view of the Nile. Murchison Falls are within walking distance (and you get exclusive access because the excursion boats dock on the other side). Alex is a fantastic guide and a wonderful, stimulating conversational partner. Chef Assad tailors the menus daily to our needs and treats us gastronomically. Rogers provides perfect service and serves us dinner every night with a perfect view of the Nile under a sky full of stars. The whole crew made our stay special. The water for the shower comes from the Nile and has a very unpleasant odor. You have to pay a national park entrance fee for each day you’re there.

“Goed maar prijs kan beter”

The location was beautiful, with a stunning view, and the only way to get there is by boat, which is part of the charm. The price‑quality ratio was off; a beer cost 3 dollars, which is high compared to other places. The rate was supposed to include breakfast, lunch, and dinner, yet staying just one night meant you missed lunch. You could also have breakfast at the waterfall, but that would cost 30 euros per person to go there and an additional 15 euros per person to eat, even though breakfast was already included in the price.
