“A good location for a stay in Kyoto, very clean and comfortable beds.”

I enjoyed a three‑night stay here; the place was clean, the sheets felt like clouds, and the bathroom was tidy and user‑friendly. The location was excellent—close enough to the city yet quiet for rest, with convenience stores and a nice grocery shop nearby. I disliked the setup of the women’s dorm and the separate shower/bathroom: the room nearest the entrance had a door that opened directly toward the lounge area, letting people in the hostel or in the chairs see inside, and the bathroom next door felt too exposed, even though there was a folding screen that didn’t help privacy. More privacy from people in the entrance or building would have improved my stay. Still, I would rate the comfort as good, though it could be better for my preferences.

I finished rewriting an article in the Japanese garden, the quiet Japanese‑style room, and the loft; thank you very much. In the bedroom I met a fellow traveler from France. I didn’t have enough time, didn’t get to borrow a bike this time, but will try again next time.

“Une belle adresse pour visiter Kyoto”

Emplacement idéal pour visiter les temples incontournables de l'est, le chemin de la philosophie est à 2 pas, et l'Ouest est desservi par un bus direct (le 93), la gare par le bus 5, bref il y a 6 arrêts de bus proches! La propreté est au top?, le matériel aussi. Il manque juste une petite cuisine pour déjeuner ou prendre ses repas.cela se fait dans l'entrée (grande néanmoins)

The place is close to the Chabad house and suitable for religious stays. The building’s door opens with an electric card, so they waited for me to open it at the agreed time (evening: 20:30; day: 16:00).
