Dom Wypoczynkowy U STASKA

“Spokój, cisza, rozrywki dla dzieci i dorosłych.”

The location is superb, away from the noise, quiet and calm in the morning. There’s entertainment for kids, delicious breakfast, great service, and the owners are very friendly. Nothing particularly special.

The staff were excellent, the hosts wonderful, and the dinner and breakfast were good; the plum compote was delicious, the location was close to the trails, and the place was quiet for a pleasant rest.

The base was great for hiking in Gorce and Pieniny, with calm silence and a kitchen annex plus a game room; breakfast could be ordered. We stayed when the weather was bad, but the rooms and building should have been a bit warmer.

The hosts were friendly and the place was near the forest, very clean. The acoustics were terrible—every sound from the hallway, adjacent rooms, other floors, and even the tennis table room carried through. A centimetre gap under the door needed a blanket, yet that did little; every noise spread throughout the building. The door had glass panels and a hallway light triggered by a photo‑sensor, so the room lit up constantly at night. The kitchen annex for the third‑floor room was on the ground floor—almost useless. The beds had sponge mattresses on rare cross‑beams, only moderately comfortable. A balcony was promised but missing. Staying more than one night would be difficult.

The location, cleanliness, tasty food, and friendly owners made for a perfect stay.
