“Great location”
The price was great and the staff were friendly, but honestly everything else was perfect.

The theme was really cool.

We had an issue with the air conditioning not working; the room hit 80 degrees. We told maintenance, and he thought we needed a new unit, so he removed ours and replaced air conditioners in other rooms, even though he ran out of parts, but that didn’t stop him. He put an oscillating fan in our room and said if it didn’t work we could be moved. We asked to be moved, and he personally carried the luggage carrier up to our room. The next morning we saw him again, he smiled and told us that our old room was now very cool, and he mentioned that he needed to get other air conditioners just in case. Also, we were upgraded to a huge 3‑bedroom room that was gorgeous! The only downside was that the usual person working in the breakfast area that day was not there. He kept the food filled and there were a lot of guests, but every table was dirty and he didn’t come out to clean one while we ate.

My favorite thing was the dog path through the wildflower field—what a great spot to watch the sunset while walking the pup. The staff were nice and helpful. Even though I didn’t need my room cleaned while I was there, the cleaning staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, always saying hi if they saw me in the hall and checking to see if I had everything I needed. Breakfast was decent every morning, with a wide selection of items including my favorite tea. The pillows and blankets were very cozy, and the room was nice and spacious. The pool and hot tub were good to have after long days of hiking. I heard some complaints about the loud AC units, but those things kick serious and the hum is steady, creating perfect white noise for sleeping. The shower had great water pressure and temperature—very important. The mattresses need to be replaced; they were hard with springs that popped a little. I was solo in a 2‑bedroom room and both beds were the same. Thankfully I used all of the pillows from both beds to create my own pillow top. The pool is refreshing, but there’s so much noise from the highway and truck stop that it’s not relaxing. Also, the metal loungers at the pool don’t have any cushions, and the entrance to the pool needs to be updated to the room key access as the current system is difficult, especially if entering alone. The colored spotlights outside make the building look nice but also really light up the room at night, even with the blackout curtains.

The bedding was bad: a soft bed that sagged in the middle. The breakfast was mediocre. The décor was outdated. The location was noisy because of the highway. The air conditioning was extremely loud.
