The tropical setting is lovely and super quiet, plus the hosts are pleasant. The only downside was that the bedroom door couldn’t be locked, which felt a bit insecure.

“Did not stay there, found some where else”

The person was nice, but the place was damp, dark, and the road to it was rough. It felt more like a private house than a proper listing—you had to walk through a kitchen where someone was eating. It’s not the kind of spot that should be listed without proper approval.

“Great location, amazing setting, authentic experience with great host”

Staying here felt like a true tropical Queensland getaway—rainforest all around and a creek babbling right outside. Peter, the host, cooks breakfast and is a great chatty guy with a wicked sense of humor. The deck is perfect for sipping wine as the lights come on. It’s close to parks and beaches, and the nearby pub is worth a visit (just book ahead). Parking was a bit tight, though.

“Certainly not Paradise”

I didn’t enjoy this place at all—filthy, old, damp, and moldy. It felt unsafe, and the owner even asked me to take my shoes off in a room that was already dirty. Food scraps and dirty cutlery were everywhere in the kitchen. I spent $95 on a place that was basically a shithole. I wouldn’t even give it one star.
