“Traumhafte Lage und wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge in entspannter Atmosphäre”
The hotel sits wonderfully quiet and has a truly dreamy location. The absolute highlight for us was the beautiful terrace with the breathtaking view over the Tuscan landscape and the gorgeous sunsets. The entire complex is very well kept and visually matches exactly what one expects from a special accommodation in Tuscany. The pool area also pleased us – the pool itself, the nice loungers with stylish covers are perfect for enjoying the peace and the view. Our room was clean and well maintained upon arrival, individually and tastefully furnished. The mattresses and pillows were very comfortable, so we slept well. The air conditioning reliably brought the room to a pleasant temperature and the basic supplies of the small fridge as well as the tea and coffee selection were free of charge. The reception was especially warm. And even though we arrived earlier than announced, it was no problem and after a very short wait we could move into our rooms. We were shown around the entire hotel and the park-like garden and everything was explained in detail. We also want to highlight the dinner in the restaurant positively. It is priced in the upscale range, but was really good and convincing in quality. A small note about the access road: The way to the hotel goes over a longer gravel road. In advance you are warned and asked to not drive faster than 10–15 km/h because of the nature reserve. But you honestly have to say: you really don't want to drive faster on that road. 😉 Reading about it is one thing – actually experiencing the walk is another. Unfortunately there are also a few criticisms. The dark‑brown loungers in the private garden of our room were completely worn out. The actual lounge area was so worn that you sometimes lay or sit on a hard pole. Maybe it’s time to replace these loungers. A major criticism is the breakfast buffet. We were very disappointed. Many items did not seem fresh and lovingly prepared as we had hoped: dried carrot strips, older tomatoes and cucumber slices, a somewhat disappointing bread selection and packaged muffins. The sausage selection was very limited. After scrambled eggs and bacon we and other guests had to ask repeatedly, sometimes had to wait long and then only very small amounts were refilled, which were immediately out of stock again. Even the fruit was disappointing. There were only kiwis and a few apples in a bowl. The breakfast needs to be much more varied and individual for the upscale hotel category. We hope this criticism is taken as constructive feedback, because apart from the few points it was really a very nice stay!
