The place is quiet. It’s a pity there isn’t a bakery within walking distance.

The scenery is wonderful, right in the Black Forest. The restaurants close early, though.

Easy to locate, with key‑less handover via lockboxes. We only met the host when settling the tourist tax. We stayed on the top floor, reached by two short and two long stairs. The apartment was spacious enough for two people, with a kitchenette that has all the essentials and a 4‑burner stove. The balcony has a table, umbrella, and two plastic folding chairs. The windows have blinds. The bed comes with two separate mattresses and two comforters and is comfortable. The rooms were tidy and clean. Laundry is available for a fee. The apartment is on a busy road, so you hear traffic, especially motorbike riders who treat the road like a racetrack; it’s less at night, which is a relief. I’ve never seen that mentioned in any review. A fire alarm in the bedroom occasionally flashes annoyingly at night. It was very warm inside at 28 °C, and it’s a shame there’s no fan or similar.

A quiet spot with a lovely valley view from the apartment, and the place is spacious. The sheets are a bit noisy and the mattress feels a little too soft for my taste.

The welcome was friendly and booking was simple. The forest view, village calm, and the very roomy, functional accommodation were great. There’s no on‑site dining; the bakery is 3 km away.
