The room feels very nature-friendly, offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, and the bed was comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. However, there was no AC in the room, though that didn’t really affect our stay. Because the property is far from the city, ordering food from outside via Pick Me or Uber Eats is difficult. Sunlight pours in around 6 am, which can wake you up; better blackout curtains would definitely help.

Villa Nugaliyadda was one of the absolute highlights of our Sri Lanka trip! A peaceful 30‑minute drive from the busy city centre of Kandy, this hidden gem feels like a completely serene world of its own. The rooms are spacious, clean, tastefully designed, and an example of sheer architectural brilliance. The private balcony was the absolute cherry on top—waking up early to watch the clouds clear over the mountain landscape was nothing short of breathtaking. We even got to experience fireflies flashing late into the night after ages, which brought back such a core childhood memory for us! What truly makes this villa unforgettable, though, is the incredible care from the hosts. A huge thank you to Mr. Janaka! They treat you like family, greeting you with genuine smiles and taking care of your every need. The food is exceptional—truly authentic Sri Lankan meals. Also, don't miss out on taking a short hike up the mountain to the nearby 360‑degree viewpoint for an unbelievable panoramic view. We cannot wait to return!

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel dans ce logement avec une vue imprenable sur toute la région. La chambre est magnifique, décorée avec beaucoup de goût et beaucoup de charme. C’est en pleine nature, c’est très paisible et relaxant. Tout est très propre et fonctionnel, le balcon est un réel avantage pour être en immersion dans la nature. Gros coup de cœur pour notre hôte également, qui est adorable. La nourriture est excellente, très raffinée et goûteuse, on s’est régalés ! Le service était absolument parfait, nous avons adoré ce lieu et le recommandons vivement.

Beautiful property located on top of the hill/mountain area. The property is managed by Janaka and his family that are excellent hosts. Room was very clean and spacious, stunning views and cool weather. Would love to come back again. The location is a bit far from city and the ride is a bit curvy. But the view is great so it’s not so much of a problem

The view and the room facilities and of course the host were exceptional. The road is good but it’s a little too far from the city. It was high up the hill and it can become scary especially when there is heavy rain. Day time it is fine.
