The room was spacious and well‑ventilated, bedding comfortable, staff polite, breakfast average and nothing special; there were mosquitoes in the room, exposed wiring, the shower box leaked into the toilet box, the bathtub made a terrible plumbing noise even though we never used it, all amenities were paid separately including extra sheets and towels, there were few breakfast tables so we had to wait, the hotel overall needed maintenance with loose floorboards, cracked glass, unvarnished wood, the pool was always dirty, parking for guests was insufficient because it shared space with the public parking for the restaurant, the street behind the buildings was noisy and busy with many motorcycles and quad bikes, kitchen noise was clearly audible during breakfast, the hotel did not match my profile and I would look for something more secluded and away from the street

I liked nothing, the photo in the ebook does not match the current state of the lodge! The lodge is dirty, broken glass, dirty pool, looks abandoned

We spent two wonderful days in Bananeiras; the hotel is actually an old railway station and has a good restaurant. The rooms are fantastic, with a large bed and a large TV. The air‑conditioning worked well, but we used the timer because it’s not really needed at night. Since we were traveling by electric car — and they do have a charging spot, which unfortunately was always occupied by non‑electric vehicles — the organization of that aspect could be better. Also, the six spots in front of the hotel are usually taken by non‑guests; however, you can park on the street
