The location is a bit away from the main station, but a nearby bus stop makes getting around easy. The room is extremely clean and comes equipped with a kettle, fridge, microwave, and dishes, covering all daily needs. Hamid was very friendly. Remember to bring cash for the travel tax, which must be handed over in cash at checkout. The front door is old and the lock is hard to unlock.

The mattress was good, and the house and surroundings were quiet. Parking was hassle‑free. The room had plenty of amenities such as a fridge, microwave, armchair, iron and ironing board. Access to the property was independent. Dust was found around the baseboards, especially behind the bed; a dead fly was caught in the web on the ceiling; cobwebs and dust on the wall. The narrow stairs had short steps, making it hard to move a wardrobe and a handbag. Parking was only on the street, not on the premises. The interior looked very dated with many signs of use. The free American pancakes breakfast was discontinued, even though the name and comments still reference it.

The location was good – a bakery, two excellent restaurants, and laundry facilities were nearby. It’s a nice escape from Arnhem yet convenient for Oosterbeek. Hamid was pleasant and helpful, showing us around and answering questions. The carpet needs replacing. “Kitchen facilities” could use more cutlery. Some might find the steep stairs difficult, especially since the toilet and shower are on the floor below – we didn’t. Parking bikes outside wasn’t ideal, but the area is very quiet and safe.

The quiet location was appreciated. The cleanliness was lacking, with a lot of hair on the floor, grime under the sink, an unpleasant odor, and the same issue throughout the house.
