Hotel Massena, located in Paris' chic Madeleine district, offers contemporary rooms with free Wi-Fi and a minibar, 10 minutes from Opéra Garnier. The hotel features air-conditioned rooms with satellite TV, some with original wooden beams. A continental breakfast buffet is served in a pink and grey breakfast room. Galeries Lafayette and Printemps department stores are 650 metres away, with Madeleine church and Metro Station nearby.

Everything was good, and the location was nice.

The hotel was well located, right behind the Madeleine church, with a train station just a few meters away and Galeries Lafayette nearby. The bed was comfortable and the shower water was hot. The room was very small, but since we only stayed two nights it was acceptable. On the first day we accidentally stained the sheets with a drink, hoping they would be changed, but they weren’t. When we went to bed the second night the stain was still there. Additionally, when the cleaning staff used the bathroom they didn’t flush the toilet, so we found it full when we returned. They left the window open, and the room was on the first floor. We went back in the afternoon to rest and saw it; we managed to close it, but it wasn’t ideal. On the day we left, we left our luggage to use the day before heading to the airport, but instead of storing it, they gave us a key to a door so we could leave it there ourselves. When we went to retrieve it, they gave us the key again, but they didn’t move.

The place was very central and the rooms were cute, clean, and interiorly appealing. However, you can hear everything from the other rooms, which is a minor but necessary detail, especially if you have a graveyard‑shift sleep rhythm.

The location was very good, a quiet area just 3 minutes from the Madeleine metro. The bathroom was so small that you couldn’t move in the shower and the toilet had no space between the shower and the wall. The room itself was very small but acceptable since it was just for me. The window faced the avenue, which was pleasant and quiet because it was well insulated. It was excessively pricey because it was fashion week; I imagine it would be cheaper at other times.
