Hotel Alexandria

The attitude is the most important thing. We arrived late at night, parked our motorcycles on the private property, and the owner helped us order dinner at a nearby restaurant. He also took our clothes to the laundry even though it was already late; they were ready by morning. I always liked the genuine vibe in small hotels—it’s not scripted, it’s heartfelt.

The location was handy for getting around and the owner managed to order dinner from a nearby café, but I can’t see why anyone would rave about it—the room wasn’t cleaned by 9 pm even though we had told the hotel our arrival time, a dirty mop lay on the floor, and there were no towels or toilet paper. The owner was under the “shelf” and when I asked about breakfast he said he cooks it himself and won’t be up before 9 am. For 4 500 RUB with breakfast the value was terrible. I left at 6 am without breakfast. The only small upside was that the owner, after we asked, arranged dinner from the neighboring café and swapped it for a breakfast he couldn’t make early, though the dinner wasn’t very tasty. I can’t recommend this place; ending up in these conditions was unpleasant, especially after a long journey.

“Tolle Unterkunft”

The location was quiet with a great view, the room was very comfortable and clean, breakfast was excellent, and the owner was very friendly. Nothing was lacking; everything was perfect.

I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I must say that the owner, Mr. Alex, was an absolute delight. He went above and beyond to make sure I felt welcome and comfortable during my stay. The hotel itself was clean and well-maintained, and I appreciated the personal touch that Mr. Alex brought to the property.
