“Luces y Sombras”

What we liked most was the location, just a one‑hour walk from the city centre, and the very good access to metro or bus. The room we thought was an apartment with a kitchen turned out to be a room with a bathroom, fridge and microwave; the kitchen shown in the photos is on the ground floor and I understand it is shared. The room lacked air conditioning, and even though a small fan was provided, it was unbearable for three hot days; the bathroom sink was tiny, making it impossible to wash my face without flooding the floor. A few folding chairs would have been useful, as would a bedside table for a lamp or phone. The accommodation is a townhouse converted into six rooms, and the Wi‑Fi was impossible to connect to.

The location is quiet, well connected, with shops nearby, and the check‑in was simple. There is a fridge. The bed was small, and the washbasin was very tiny.

The check‑in went smoothly, the instructions were clear, everything was clean, and it was a very pleasant stay.

A great one‑night stopover. You can walk to Clapham Common, which has many bars and restaurants.
