The room was in a shared house, but the lack of insulation was a shame and the dinner was offered at 19h. We didn’t want to take it so we could go to bed earlier, but that was impossible because the table was in the middle of all the rooms. The accommodation is ideally located for climbing Piton des Neiges.

“Arrivée devant une belle case et on repart un peu amers...”

A very pretty traditional Creole cottage, perfectly situated in the center of Cilaos. It would be nice to let guests plug in a small heater because it was 5 °C in the room. The bathroom was very basic, the tiny sink was even clogged. The basin‑bed was not very comfortable, and the linens looked a bit old. It was a family room, but we were a couple, and at 110 € without heating and breakfast it felt pricey. A few renovations would make it a warm, great place.

“Bon emplacement pour partir randonner”

The host was kind and let me drop my bag before check‑in. The décor is soothing, and the spot is close to the church. The bed was a bit hard for me, there was no bath towel, and the noise from other guests at 7 am was noticeable because there’s no insulation; it’s not the host’s fault, just a lack of courtesy.
