Monarchy Guest House

The whole experience was a disaster from start to finish. The toilet was broken and I had to deal with the hassle of finding a working one elsewhere. The room itself was a mess and I wouldn't recommend staying here to anyone.

The location was pretty rough, to be honest. It's not exactly the safest area, and I didn't feel too comfortable walking around at night. But, I guess it's a good spot if you're looking for a place to stay that's close to some of the local attractions.

“Bad”

The one good thing about this place is the security - it's top-notch. But, unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The rooms aren't cleaned regularly, the blankets are stained, and there's a lot of noise from the other permanent residents. To make matters worse, the bathroom shower is a shock due to the poor earthing, and I even spotted some small rats scurrying around. And, to top it all off, there's no heater or air-conditioning.

“Première image et impression de l'Afrique du Sud!!??”

I have to give credit to the guard who helped us out when we had to change hotels. However, our arrival at 11 PM was a nightmare - we were told our room wasn't available due to a water outage, and it took an hour for the receptionist to get the manager to find us a nearby hotel. To make matters worse, they wanted us to pay for a taxi, but eventually agreed to drive us themselves, which was a huge relief.
