Baco Myoko Akakura

We stayed at Baco for a week and really loved it. It is on the main street and near food and about a 10‑minute walk from Akakura Onsen Ski area. The owner Ai was really lovely and helpful, and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was consistently good. Baco has an attached café that serves good coffee. Fantastic stay and will return when in Myoko!

The Japanese‑style room and breakfast were cooked by the host, who was very friendly, spoke good English, and delivered excellent service. The tiny onsen on the property was a highlight for sore skiing legs, and the pick‑up and drop‑off to the station were convenient. A short walk to the lift made getting around easy. The coffee could have been better, but the coffee shop next door fixed that.

The property was perfect. Its location on Main Street was super convenient, and the facilities were up to date.

The location was unreal, and the host was so accommodating. There was a little bit of noise late in the evening from people leaving the bars, but that can’t be helped, and we chose to stay in the main drag.
