The location in a residential area with local shops was good, the interior was modern and the kitchen was light and airy with all the usual appliances. The shared showers were fine, and the top bathroom was lovely. The bed linen was clean and there were plenty of towels. Once I figured out the key locks – just a gentle touch at the bottom left corner – they worked well. However, I never got a response about access to the property, so I had to wait on the doorstep. First impressions were poor: the house exterior and both gardens looked neglected and untidy, there was rubbish in the front garden, a van parked in the driveway, and the brick driveway was a trip hazard. We ended up parking on the wide pavement in front of the property. There was no mention of permanent tenants (a lovely lady), so only three rooms were available instead of the advertised four. The shared bathrooms and toilets were not ideal. Other tenants were fairly quiet, but the doors and keypads were noisy. The blinds on the bedroom windows did nothing; blackout curtains would have helped reduce light and constant road noise.
