The location was fantastic and the water was clean. The beds were basic, especially the single mattresses in the family room, making it hard to sleep, and the room was very small and dark, which seems typical of many Rome apartments.

The owner was very helpful and everything was clearly explained. The room was cleaned daily and towels were replaced. It’s quite spacious and the location is great. The downside is the limited daylight in the room, and the single beds for an adult male were rather narrow. There could have been more dishes for a four‑person room – we only had two cups and two bowls.

We were surprised when the doorman briefly mentioned that the building was over 300 years old, effectively giving us a history lesson as part of our stay, and we felt like we were in ancient Rome in the best sense.
