We appreciated being able to walk down the hall to a restaurant in the evening without driving, and the complimentary breakfast was excellent. The river view from our room was superb, as it was very close to the water. The only downside was that the ice machine was on a different floor, but that wasn’t a big issue; the one on our floor was under construction.

I liked how tidy and comfy the hotel was, and the staff were polite and helpful. Breakfast was tasty, and the spot worked well for us because we were in Council Bluffs; the breakfast area offered plenty of seats, which was great. The room had a few quirks: the shower door leaked onto the floor, so maintenance had to fix it; the TV was disconnected from the cable box, requiring a technician; a light bulb was dead and the thermostat didn’t work, both also needing maintenance. Maybe the staff should check these after a guest checks out? On the first day my key didn’t open the Fitness Center, so I was sent to the one at the Hampton; the issue was resolved, letting me use the Fitness Center the next two days.

Nothing good at all – we need a refund! We didn’t stay there because of construction and remodeling. We were forced to stay on the 4th floor where workers were hanging and sanding drywall in the hallways, with buckets and other tools around. We were on vacation and this was unacceptable. I’m not a semi‑driver or construction worker. The front desk wouldn’t reimburse us because we booked through you. They did have a “welcome sign” that mentioned construction in small lettering.
