The room was huge and the bathroom spotless, the bed felt like a cloud, and being just a five‑minute walk from Salzburg’s main station was perfect. The owner handed us a free public‑transport pass and the little kitchen stocked with endless good coffee and tea was a nice perk. The only snag was the self‑check‑in – it worked fine, but with no front desk you’re on your own if something comes up.

The shared kitchen came with a kettle and coffee/tea, and the room itself was simple and functional. The only downside was the toilet being unusually high, so anyone under about 5 ft 3 in can’t even touch the floor when seated.

The bed was comfortable and we received a transport card that made getting around a breeze, with buses and trains just outside. On the downside, the room had no blackout curtains, so early morning light slipped in, and the price felt a bit steep for what you get.

Location is spot on, just a short walk from the train station, and the room is basic but clean with a shared kitchenette. Nothing really stood out as negative.
