First, a big thank you to João for all the hospitality and attention. My wife and I literally felt at home. The chalets are very comfortable and clean, with everything needed for a peaceful stay in nature. The many details in the chalet and shared areas show the owner’s care for the place. Breakfast is complete and delicious—minas cheese and interior cheese breads are the best, haha. The outdoor area is beautiful and well kept, with many plants, flowers and a large garden. It has a pool, sun loungers, hammocks, a barbecue and a freezer to chill drinks. The location is just a few minutes’ drive from the entrances to the main waterfalls. João is also a great tour guide and can tell you the best trails and how to reach each one. Tip: hike up the Jaboticatubas River and see the canyon at the end of the trail. No complaints at all. A perfect 10 in every aspect. We plan to return as soon as we can!
