Casa Rural Prado Alto,Foz Calanda

The house sits in a very quiet, secluded spot, perfect for a few calm days surrounded by nature without nearby neighbors. The setup is simple yet everything needed is there and impeccably clean. We cooked and grilled several times (using the outdoor grill) and never ran out of anything. Dining was always outside, where ample seating is available. Anyone who wants to cook must buy spices, oil, etc. in the nearby town of Calanda, about a 10‑minute drive, as the house has no basic supplies, but that didn't bother us. The small outdoor pool with loungers was used gladly. Unfortunately, many mosquitoes (even inside the house) were a bit annoying, but with the right spray they’re manageable. Our host Carlos welcomed us warmly, and check‑in and check‑out were hassle‑free. Communication was only in Spanish, but a translation program made it fine. Overall, a very good stay, and we’ll return.

“Excellent, we will come back!!”

We had an outstanding stay at Casa Rural Prado Alto; the kids loved it. It’s truly in the middle of nowhere, letting us enjoy a total solar eclipse, starry skies, and the Perseids meteor shower. If you want a quiet spot in nature, this place is ideal. Host Carlos was very friendly and available whenever we had questions. The only downside was the mosquitoes; we were bitten many times in the evening while sitting outside, even with repellent. Inside the house was fine because the windows have screens, so they couldn’t get in. That’s the price you pay for being in nature.

I really liked the accommodation: the pool was very comfortable, everything was spotless, and while the house isn’t a masterpiece it’s very functional and has everything you need. Being off the beaten path gave it an incredible peace. The only downside was the tricky access—a 1.5 km gravel road with a few holes. It was quite hot that weekend and there were lots of mosquitoes, so bring repellent; if you keep the house closed, the bugs stay out.

The host was extremely friendly and sympathetic, even with the language barrier. I loved the secluded location, which meant we didn't disturb or get disturbed by others. The place had all the essentials, and the air conditioning worked well. A few suggestions for improvement could be adding a parasol to the garden and updating the barbecue.

“Un lugar perfecto para desconectar y disfrutar!”

We stayed here at the end of June and had an amazing time. The house was spotless, fully equipped, and refreshingly cool thanks to the air conditioning. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space, including the well-maintained and clean pool, which offered ample space for sunbathing and dining together. Carlos was attentive and kind, providing excellent service from start to finish. At night, we were treated to a clear, star-filled sky from the pool area.
