The Surf Beach Motel

The staff were friendly and the location felt nostalgic, but learning the building will soon be demolished was a sad reminder of Fernandina Beach’s history. The room looked a bit dated, which I can see as part of its charm.

“Sucked”

They didn’t have breakfast. The whole place was shut down. We were the only ones there and never saw a person the whole time we were there. They left the key in the room for us and never saw anyone. Looks like it’s about to go under; I would take this off.

“Very upsetting, we requested a reimbursement but didn't hear back.”

The front‑desk lady, who was nice, warned us that a large truck would pass by our door at 4:30 pm for an hour to haul equipment from the nearby restaurant that’s closing. The truck was loud and workers stayed on site until after 9 pm, so we had to leave our room several times and play music on our phones to mask the noise, but it still seeped in. It was upsetting because we wanted a quiet night, and the truck and workers right outside our door made that impossible; I’m not sure the desk lady was telling the truth.

The location was great.

“Awesome Stay”

The price and location were excellent, and the place was super neat and clean. There was nothing about it that I didn’t like.
