“Un hôtel très bien à Chambéry”

The spot right across from the station is perfect, especially when arriving at night. The reception is flawless: the receptionist is kind, patient and attentive. The hotel is well maintained, everything is immaculate and very clean. The small elevator is handy for luggage. The room was comfortable, the bathroom and toilet were fine, and there’s a lovely balcony with a window that reaches the ceiling. My room was quiet, the bed was perfect, so I slept well. Breakfast was perfect. Next time I visit Chambéry, I’ll stay here again.

Convenient if you only need a one‑night stay near the rail station; I wouldn’t stay longer. Tea and coffee are always at reception and the steps lead straight to the old city. We booked two rooms: one had a coffee machine and was bigger, the second had no coffee maker and was significantly smaller, plus it lacked a locker in the bathroom. There was a smell in the rooms—not smoking, but something like that.

Parking is secure but a bit tight for our CR‑V Honda; we managed carefully. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful, pleasant and polite, and the hotel is pet‑friendly. Breakfast buffet was very good and the staff excellent. The hotel is very close to Limoges centre, walkable. We’d return. We’d suggest tray showers for seniors or a less slippery bath shower in our room, or adding a grip handle. The carpet looked worn, but everything else was very good. In our room the toilet was separate from the bathroom, which was fine.
