“Comfortable facilities”

The location is very rural but the facilities are good. No complaints.

I loved the prime spot for hiking and cycling, the pool, the Muckibude, and the table tennis. There’s a bike‑locker, and the breakfast was excellent with tasty rolls. The single room’s furnishings are a bit dated, but still functional.

The staff were outstanding, both in the food service and at reception. The meals were delicious, though not cheap, which is understandable given the lack of competition locally—you pay for the convenience of not having to move around. Unfortunately, the building hasn’t been modernised in recent years; the paint is long past its prime, which is more sad than irritating because the house won’t last much longer. It’s a pity. As a dog‑friendly place, a water bowl would have been a nice touch.

Breakfast was superb. The room was very quiet and the staff were always very friendly.
