The hotel is very pretty, though it’s obvious that it needs a bit of refreshing. The 90s‑era room fittings have a charm that makes it ideal for a short stay. It’s situated in a lovely area surrounded by forests and lakes, and the breakfasts are superb. However, the front‑desk staff at the restaurant need more training. My wife and I, sitting in the garden, ordered local craft beer and waited 45 minutes for it. During that time, other waitresses kept asking us what we wanted. The young waitress who took our order was chatting with a colleague instead of preparing the drink, showing no intention to fulfill the request. The more experienced waitress tried to excuse her junior colleague, claiming she “lacked bar experience.” No apology was offered, which is unacceptable. The takeaway is that staff must be properly trained to serve a bottle of beer and a glass. I think a doctoral program in beer service should be established next to the hotel. We never got to drink that beer.
