The location is great, but there were toads around.

The staff were great, the room was clean and well supplied, but smoke from other rooms seeped in everywhere and the bed gave me a back ache.

We liked the remote setting and the view of turquoise water with moored boas; the continental breakfast was generous, especially on the cook’s day off. The airport pick‑up was appreciated, and the ferry offer was handy even though we walked the short distance. The garden and pool were welcoming, but the sandflies were annoying and the little mongrels by the water edge were a nuisance. The food and drinks cost $10.20 for a stubby, which was okay but pricey for a remote spot.
