“Relaxing, interesting, good !!!”

The pub, the friendly staff, the chatty patrons, the sea view from the room’s window, the clear TV channel, and the music event with excellent musicians were all highlights. Everything was fine—good enough!

“A small museum hidden inside a local pub with great rooms.”

A lively hotel in a convenient spot, everything spotless, stylish, and comfy. The bar hosts an impressive war‑memorial museum assembled by the owner, a veteran who donates the bar’s proceeds to fellow veterans. My room offered an open view of the wharf across the road, where I watched the huge hovercraft glide across the Solent, ferrying passengers between the mainland and the Isle of Wight in under 15 minutes. The stairs were a problem for me because of an injury, but Steve from the bar gladly carried my bag up the flights, and I really appreciated his kindness.

“Great for a one night's stay”

The spot is spot-on, right in the middle of all the action, and the view of the hovercrafts coming and going is amazing.
